Netflix apologizes for the recruitment of extras such as fans in Canada events

Thursday Netflix lamented that extras hired to declare misrepresent themselves as customers of Netflix and talking to all the media launch for Netflix event in Canada.

Netflix expanded its activities in Canada this week and held a launch event in Toronto for the new service.Our globe and Daily Mail reported Wednesday, however, that many people at the launch event was engaged by Netflix, and some of them have given interviews to the press as potential customers enthusiastic.

"Extras are to act as members of the public, outside enjoying their daily life, which occur when an event of street for Netflix and stop to check it out," according to a data sheet sent to extras. ' "" ""Extras are to find really happy, especially if requested by the media to any interviews on the prospect of Netflix in Canada."

Swasey said Thursday that extras have been hired to appear in a video company on the Canadian launch.

"It turns out, [they] had a wrong direction to speak with the media of their enthusiasm for the Netflix service" Swasey says. ''It was an error and was not intended to be part of our launch plan.

"Us has no intention to mislead the media or the public, and we can understand why some have raised questions," he continued. ""."We are sorry that our misfires have given Canadians all reasons for doubting our authenticity or our sincerity".
